Instrument Firmware
From time to time we make modifications and improvements to the operating firmware of our instruments, and for most of products users can update this firmware very easily and free of charge simply by connecting the unit to a PC via a USB (models 7124, 7270, 7230 and 3830) or RS232 cable (all models) and running an Update program. This is suitable for use with all versions of Windows from XP onwards.
Check which firmware revision level is installed in your instrument by following the directions in the user's manual, and if you have an earlier revision than that indicated below click on the links to check the changes included in each version and download the update pack in the selected format. Packs for instruments that can be updated via USB include an installer for the latest versions of our USB driver software.
When we update firmware which adds new features to our instruments, we also update the instruction manual. Remember therefore to check that you are using the latest version of the manual, all of which are available from the library on this site - click here to locate them.
To download the update pack, click on the required file name and, when prompted, choose to save it to your computer.
