Software for SIGNAL RECOVERY products
We offer several software solutions to operate our products, as well as free firmware update packs and device drivers.
LabVIEW Drivers
NEW - Project Style Drivers for the models
7230, 7270, 7280, 7265 and 7225
These free
drivers are available for most of the computer controllable instruments
in our product range. Each driver includes basic VI's to open and close
VISA sessions, and a Write/Read VI to handle communications to and from
the instrument. A next level of VI's support the different instrument controls
and read the specified outputs, while Application Examples generally take
the form of a soft front panel and show how the lower level VIs can be combined
to yield a useful program for remote instrument control.
A Getting Started VI is included to make it is simple as possible to start using the driver, which is also a good template to use when building customized programs.
The new project style drivers make all the VIs available via the LabVIEW Instrument Driver palette so it is even easier to choose the VIs your project needs as well as use them with drivers for other manufacturer's instruments. A new instruction manual completes the package, showing how to use these and the older style drivers.

Acquire Data Acquisition Software
This
powerful package, suitable for PC's, supports up to ten instruments and
offers two main operating modes.
Remote Front Panel
This allows remote operation of the instrument(s)
controls and display of selected instrument outputs.
Experiment Recording Mode
In this mode an experiment is defined
in which up to 8 instrument output(s) are recorded as a function of an X-axis
variable, such as time, oscillator frequency, auxiliary DAC voltage, and
trigger events. Data is plotted to screen either as it is acquired or after
acquisition on user-defined axes. Data files can be exported in ASCII
or CSV format for further analysis with third party software.

Python Driver
NEW - Allows lock-in amplifier control from
Python projects via RS232, GPIB, USB, or Ethernet
This
free driver makes it easy to implememt instrument communications with SIGNAL RECOVERY lock-in amplifters from
code written in Python. It uses the industry standard VISA software
communications platform (typically NI-VISA) and the PyVISA Python
extension to allow commands to be written to the lock-in and the
responses read via RS232, GPIB, USB or Ethernet interfaces. It
includes a driver file wich can be run directly from the command line
using the Python interpeter, as well as a Visual Studio 2019 workspace,
and a 12 page PDF instruction manual.

5105Acquire Software
This
is a free of charge simplified version of the Acquire software, which
just allows remote front panel opertion of up to ten Model 5105 and/or
Model 5106 Lock-in amplifiers. There is no experiment recording mode.

Instrument Firmware
Our range of Firmware Update packs
allows users of our instruments to update them to include the latest
features and bug fixes. Each pack, which is free and can be downloaded
directly from this site, includes an Update program which will run
on PC's using Windows XP or later operating systems, and detailed
installation instructions.

SRInstComms Software Development Kit
This
is an ActiveX control that allows users of our instruments to control them
from PC’s running Windows Unlike the Acquire data acquisition software which
we also offer, it is not a complete package but rather a component conforming
to recognized industry standards that allows instruments to be controlled
by user-developed programs. The only requirement is that these programs
must be written in a language that supports such controls, which in practice
is virtually all modern languages capable of developing Windows applications.
These include VB.net, Visual C#, LabVIEW, Visual Basic for Applications
(included in Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and other Microsoft products),
VBScript.

USB Drivers
In order to operate our instruments that have USB interfaces
via that interface the controlling computer needs to have a suitable USB
driver installed in addition to the controlling software such as our Acquire
package or National Instruments LabVIEW. Our digitally-signed USB drivers
are suitable for use with Windows 10/8/7/Vista and XP.

Find Lock-in Amplifier IP Address Web Page
Operating your SIGNAL RECOVERY model 7230 via its built in
web interface requires that you know its IP address. The Find Lock-in IP
web page will help you find this address if the instrument is plugged into
a network that has a DHCP server (most do), the computer on which you are
viewing this page is on the same network, you are using Chrome, Firefox,
or Internet Explorer, and if the first three octets of the address of the
computer and the lock-in amplifier are the same.
It also works with the model 7270 and 7124 lock-in amplifiers.

Lock-in
Amplifier Instrument Finder Software
This small PC utility
makes it easy to find the IP address of a model 7230 (or 7270 or 7124)
lock-in amplifier that is connected to the same Ethernet network as the
computer on which the software is being run.

Model 3830 Multiplexer Software
The 3830 Multiplexer software is used to operate this relay
multiplexer that hs six BNC input/outputs connected via reed relays to a
common bus. A seventh bridgr relay alows the bus to be split into two
groups of three connections.
The software includes examples showing how to operate the multiplexer from custom developed packages, as well as a standalone utility for normal use.

Model 3820 Universal Counter Software
The 3820 Universal Counter software is available here to support
this now obsolete product.
The software includes examples showing how to operate the counter from custom developed packages, as well as a standalone utility for normal use.

FastFlight-2 Operating Software
The FASTFLIGHT-2® Digital Signal Averager
is designed specifically for demanding data acquisition tasks in time-of-flight
mass spectrometry, especially when this is run as the second stage after
liquid or gas chromatogram separation. The operating software runs under
Windows 10/8/7/Vista and XP and allows full instrument control and graphical
or file representation of spectra and chromatograms. It is supplied complete
with ActiveX controls that are compatible with LabVIEW, C++, C#, VB.net,
Visual Basic and other software development environments.
